Sealco, a main distributor for Yale in Scotland, is the one of the first partners to join the new CMS EnviroHub giving unprecedented access for specifiers and clients to the top companies within the building industry.

To be opened in January, the dedicated new EnviroHub premises are the brain child of CMS Enviro Systems. It brings together eight of the major names in construction to offer a unique permanent exhibition space. For the first time in Scotland architects, specifiers, contactors and clients can see a complete range of products and meet with manufacturers. Alongside the exhibition there’s a seminar room for up to 70 people as well as break-out meeting spaces. The philosophy behind the project is to encourage building sector businesses to meet, connect and flourish with regular open days and CPD seminars.

“Up to now there has been nowhere in Scotland to see all the latest developments in construction and glazing together in one space,” says Derek Malcolm, managing director at Sealco. “Construction has been badly affected by the recession, and it’s important to look towards the new technologies and product development to drive construction and refurbishment as the market recovers. As suppliers of Yale products to CMS we knew right from the start that the concept to bring together a group of professional companies offering windows, doors, glass, insulation and renewable technology was a good opportunity for our industry.”

The new 9,136 square foot facility is a major development situated in the grounds of CMS Enviro Systems headquarters at Cumbernauld, Glasgow.

Derek adds: “This collaboration with other companies in the industry shows a different approach to commercial building and refurbishment in Scotland. Sealco is excited to be part of that move to bring together key industry players to show the level of professionalism on offer to commercial customers and clients.”
