As one of the first partners to join The CMS Innovative Hub, Sealco will be on the front row on 16 May for the official opening of the new permanent exhibition space at CMS Enviro Systems headquarters in Cumbernauld.

Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism, Fergus Ewing MSP will open the Hub with and official ribbon cutting before the partners, VIP guests and industry press will be able to look around the dedicated new premises, which brings together ten of the major names in construction.

For the first time in Scotland architects, specifiers and contractors can take clients somewhere where they can see a complete range of products and meet with manufacturers. Sealco, a main distributor for Yale in Scotland will share an exhibition stand with Yale at the 9,136 square foot facility. Other partners include Metal Technology, Rockwool, Sheer Frame, Saint Gobain, Daikin, Senior Aluminium Systems and Sub Cool.

Derek Malcolm, managing director at Sealco says: “Up to now there has been nowhere in Scotland to see all the latest developments in construction and glazing together in one space. Construction has been badly affected by the recession, and it’s important to look towards the new technologies and product development to drive construction and refurbishment as the market recovers.”

Alongside the exhibition there’s a seminar room for up to 70 people as well as break-out meeting spaces. The philosophy behind the project is to encourage building sector businesses to meet, connect and flourish with regular open days and CPD seminars.

“This collaboration with other companies in the industry shows a different approach to commercial building and refurbishment in Scotland. Sealco is excited to be working with Yale and CMS as part of the move to bring together key industry players to show the level of professionalism on offer to commercial customers and clients.

“As suppliers of Yale products to CMS we knew right from the start that the concept to bring together a group of professional companies offering windows, doors, glass, insulation and renewable technology was a good opportunity for our industry and we look forward to seeing the partners at the opening event,” adds Derek.
